The OXO Rapid Brewer is a compact, low pressure brewer designed for fast, concentrated, and repeatable extractions. Built around a sealed steep followed by a controlled release, it allows for full saturation of the puck before drawdown, producing cups that are juicy, aromatic, and remarkably clear.
Unlike traditional espresso, the Rapid Brewer operates with little to no pressure buildup, generally under 1 bar. This makes it especially well suited to the increasingly popular SOUP method (Spro, Only Un-Pressurized).
SOUP is a high quality brewing technique developed by coffee enthusiasts specifically for this device, producing an espresso like shot that emphasizes sweetness and clarity without the harshness that pressure can introduce. A gentle, zero pressure soak at the beginning of extraction prevents puck compression and promotes even flow throughout the brew.
HYUNAH celebrated the growing phenomenon surrounding SOUP and the Rapid Brewer in January 2026 by hosting the first ever Souper Bowl competition at OXO’s Test Kitchen in New York. Competitive coffee lots were provided by SEY, Aviary, and Picolot, and competitors faced off in a group stage followed by a head to head knockout format.
